History

First purchased on June 23rd 2005 by Mr James Heald at Valley Ford Lincoln & Mercury Dealers in Hanford California at a cost of $35,000.

The Mustang was ordered with the following specification:

The Mustang was Registered in the State of California on the 26th of July 2005 with the licence plate: 5PBV 791

The original owner worked for the US military in California and was stationed in the UK in 2006. The Mustang was subsequently shipped by M&S Shipping from Long Beach California to Southampton, UK on the 9th of March 2006 at a cost of $1850. 

The Mustang was driven on US plates until September 2007 when the car was UK Registered with the current plate of V8 CGT. On the 19th of October 2007 the car was inspected by VOSA and given the SVA (Single Vehicle Approval).

It is presumed that Mr Heald was transferred back to the US in late 2007 and sold the vehicle to a new owner, Mr Booth in East Yorkshire.

Modifications

A number of modifications were made to the vehicle between October 2007 & March 2008 these were:

• MGW - Throw Shifter

• SLP Loudmouth Exhaust System

• Pulley Upgrade

• C&L Performance Cold Air Intake

• SCT X3 Custom Tune

• Angel Eye Upgrade

I purchased the Mustang on the 14th of April 2008, the car had 13,600 miles on the clock. Since this time the Mustang has had further upgrades, these being:

• 18" 2006 Premium Mustang GT alloy wheels

• Clear front Indicator lenses and stealth bulbs

• Replacement short aerial

• Original rear lighting

• Smoked side marker lenses

• GT500 rear spoiler

• GT/CS Side Scoops

• Roush Hood Scoop

Performance & Power

As standard the 2005 GT came with 300 BHP and a 0-60 time of 5.0 seconds was recorded by Motor Week.

V8 CGT was recorded on a Dyno in 2008 and recorded 329 BHP - click HERE to watch the Dyno run.

In June 2009, V8 CGT another Dyno run was recorded, this time on a non-rolling road. This registered 300 BHP at the wheels and an estimated engine power of 340 BHP.

V8 CGT was sound recorded on a Dyno on the 22nd of June 09 for a the XBox 360 and Playstation 3 Racing game "Split Second".
